アフリカでは、外国為替の流動性や通貨スワップへのアクセスが限られているため、輸入に依存するアフリカ大陸の経済において、米ドルをベースとしたサービスの利用が妨げられています。この課題に取り組むため、Canza Financeは、アフリカ通貨の分散型外国為替（FX）を促進することを目的とした「Baki」を始めとする一連のサービスを構築しています。
中央銀行レートでのスリッページのない取引を可能にすることで、Bakiはより手頃な価格でFXにアクセスできるようになり、アフリカ域内貿易の拡大を促進します。BakiはAvalancheを基盤として開発されています。Avalancheは取引手数料が最小限に抑えられ、ほぼ瞬時に取引が確定するメリットがあります。これにより、Bakiは新境地を開拓し、アフリカのステーブルコインのための最初の合成DeFiマーケットとなります。これはまた、機関投資家領域におけるオンチェーン金融と新興市場におけるブロックチェーン導入というAvalancheのビジョンとも合致します。
今回の調達資金によりDefiソリューション「Baki」の開発を進め、外国為替（FX）レートにより手頃にアクセスし、アフリカ域内貿易の拡大を促進することを目指しています。

About Canza Finance
Canza Finance is an African-focused Web3 neo-bank and a leading DeFi product on the continent. It offers a decentralized solution to help businesses hedge against volatile currencies and access scarce foreign exchange currencies. The company has raised ＄5.5 million in funding from Polychain Capital, Protocol labs, and other crypto investors. Its flagship technology, Baki, is a decentralized financial platform that strives to make foreign exchange access more affordable and promote intra-African trade. We aim to significantly boost infrastructure development, particularly in Africa. With over 50 countries on the continent, our focus is on expanding infrastructure and obtaining necessary licenses in suitable jurisdictions. Additionally, we will drive the growth of our DeFi infrastructure products.

The long-term issue with access to forex liquidity in many African countries is a challenge that I witnessed when I first visited the region in 2023.
